| Let our service be as
unforgettable as our journey as we travel along this spectacular coastline
down to the mythical meeting place of two great oceans. We see historical
villages and breathtaking scenic beauty which contrasts with the harsh
conditions of the south-westerly edge of the African Continent. On
route we leave the Mother City and head out towards Sea Point, past
popular beaches such as Clifton and Camps Bay. See Llandudno's beautiful beaches
and catch a glimpse of nearby Sandy Bay. From Mouille Point to Llandudno
there are a number of shipwrecks which have become popular dive sites. Then head down into Hout Bay
(Wood Bay) which was so named because of its lush forests of milkwood.
The Bay's role in the battle for supremacy
between the Dutch and the English is evident in the ruins of forts. Here
both the east and the west forts have restored cannons that are only
fired on special historical occasions.
Hout Bay is a place where you can see
thousands of seals close up on Duiker Island. You can even see whales in
season. Here you will be surrounded by some of the most spectacular scenery
in the world. After the boat trip (optional), we move onto Chapman's peak
where we can stop for a breathtaking view of Hout Bay and the surrounding
views of Kommetjie as we drive to Cape Point.
There we will see the most South Westerly
tip of Africa. and go to the top with the funicular. There we can look over False Bay,
view over Bunkans and walk down to see the 2nd lighthouse
at the Point (optional).
After lunch we leave the Nature Reserve and
make our way down to Simonstown where we see the famous Jack Ass
penguins. We do a walkabout and head on via Fish Hoek, Kalk Bay,
Muizenberg and back to Cape Town via Constantia, tasting some of the fine wines.
and unwinding before
going for dinner.
